There are about fourteen "All About ..." books, and this one is the freebie "taster" sample. I've been disappointed by many of the nonfiction Kindle freebies for kids, mostly because they tend to be random collections of factoids and stock photos that you could gather in a few minutes of Google searching.This book, (and the series), stands out because it exhibits an engaging touch of personality and has a more organized, interesting and thorough narrative. It is calm, straightforward, written at an age appropriate level, and non-dopey.
So, if you have a young reader who has a taste for nonfiction books and who likes nature and animal fact books this could be a nice and entertaining choice.

My nephew really enjoyed this. I have not had a chance to look at it, but he really loves it. At 12, and an avid reader of animal and nature books, I think that says a lot.
We needed a non fiction book to read for our kindergarten girl and this worked well. Good book and she loved the facts, easy to read to her.
Got this book to read with my granddaughter for a school assignment. She's five and in kindergarten. She read the words she knew and I filled in the others. She like the fun stuff about the elephant. Was good and informational.
Elephants are one of my favorite animals, and I enjoyed this book, but it was awfully short! I did learn some fun facts that I didn't know, but I read it in just a few minutes while standing up! I'm glad it was free!
Just a taste. Wish each kindle book in the series was longer. So much more to add in each on behavior and how they relate to their ecosystems, and what there current status is. Guess I'm just a grownup hoping for more in kids' kindles.
The all about elephant book is exactly what it says in the title, it's all about elephants. This book covers relatives the elephant, what they look like, where they live, grooming, what they eat, social life, meeting, babies, predators, conservation, mythology, elephants are everywhere and fun facts about elephants. The book is about 8 pages long and has roughly a paragraph or two per section. The ebook is fairly brief and would be great for information before/after taking a trip to the zoo. I bought this for I downloaded this for my four year old year old but it's a little beyond his age level. I would recommend this book for kids 6 through 12. Overall it covers all the basics on Elephants and is well written.
This for this reason where even I a senior citizen learned a lot here on the nature's and cut on they have,etc.. With loads of photos and info in a very interesting and fun way. These are my reasons for wishing to recommend this for five stars and for grade school kids especially. I believe I had received this ebook for free, now I am returning my honest review.
